John Corbett is an American chemist who specializes in inorganic Solid-state chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in 1952 from the University of Washington. He was elected to the United States National Academy of Sciences in 1992.[1]
Corbett joined the faculty of Iowa State University in 1953 where he spent his entire career. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He won the ACS Awards in both Inorganic Chemistry and in Distinguished Service in the Advancement of Inorganic Chemistry. [2]
